Jody flew in from the UK with one sentence I hear often and rarely see written down: she wanted to look like herself, only less tired. That ruled out anything dramatic. We released the deep plane across the face and neck, opened the upper third with a forehead and temporal lift, refined both eyelids, and rebuilt lost volume with fat grafting rather than filler. Lesley came from the United Kingdom with a clear brief: fresher, but unmistakably her. Her upper face had dropped more than her jawline had, so the forehead and temporal lift did as much work here as the facelift itself; a canthopexy supported the lower lids where the skin had thinned. The extended deep plane released the retaining ligaments so the cheek and neck could be repositioned together rather than pulled. How to read before-and-after photos

Before-and-after photographs are only meaningful when lighting, angle, and timing are consistent and disclosed. The four standards below apply to every photograph in this gallery.

Unretouched, never filtered

No filters, no smoothing, no editing. Most photographs are taken in the clinic with our standard setup; some later follow-up images are sent by the patients themselves and are published exactly as received.

Follow-up time varies

Swelling settles gradually, so an early photograph and a later one are not the same evidence. Where the follow-up interval is documented, it is stated on the case.

The full procedure is listed

If a patient also had a neck lift, eyelid surgery, or fat transfer, it is stated on the case. No result is presented as a facelift alone when other procedures contributed to it.

Look at the neck and jawline

The most reliable markers of a deep plane facelift are the jawline definition, the neck angle, and a natural — rested, not pulled — appearance around the mouth and eyes.

These results were not made to impress in a photograph. They were made to hold — in daylight, at close range, years from now. A face I have operated on should read as nothing more than a fortunate one. That is the standard patients cross continents for, and the only one I put my name to.

Frequently asked questions about these results

Are these photographs retouched or filtered?

No. Nothing here is retouched, filtered or smoothed. Most photographs are taken in the clinic with our standard photographic setup; a smaller number of later follow-up images are sent by the patients themselves and are published exactly as they arrive.

How soon after surgery does the final result appear?

Most facial swelling resolves within the first 6–8 weeks, but the final result of a deep plane facelift matures over 9–12 months as the tissues settle and soften.

Will my result look like the results on this page?

Not exactly — no two faces age the same way. During the consultation, Dr. Yilmaz reviews cases of patients whose age, facial structure, and skin quality are close to yours, which is a more realistic reference than any single photograph.

Why do some patients have combined procedures?
