Before You Travel

Nothing is booked until your face has been assessed. You send photographs over WhatsApp or through the form, I review them personally, and you receive an honest opinion of what your anatomy calls for — sometimes a smaller operation than the one you asked about, and occasionally no operation at all.

If surgery is appropriate, you receive a written plan, an itemised quote and an expected length of stay before any dates are held, and an online consultation where it is useful. Start with your photographs.

Getting Here

Travelling for surgery means planning a trip around an operation rather than an operation around a trip. How the trip is arranged, whether the clinic or you book the hotel and transfers, who should come with you, and who decides when you are fit to fly are all set out in one place.

Your Surgery, Step by Step

The operation itself is one day in a sequence that starts with your first message and ends months later, when I have seen how you have healed. Between those two points sit the in-person examination and final plan, the surgery and the night or nights in hospital that it requires, the scheduled clinic visits that follow, and the fit-to-fly check before you leave.

What each operation involves is on its own treatment page; the sequence around it is the same for every international patient.

Recovery and Aftercare

Recovery is the part patients underestimate, so it is the part I describe in the most detail. Swelling, bruising, what you can do in the first week and when you look like yourself again follow a pattern that is worth reading before you decide, not after.

Aftercare does not stop when you fly home: you send photographs at agreed intervals and I review your healing myself. The recovery guide takes it day by day.

Safety and Standards

The question worth asking is not whether a country is safe but whether a surgeon, a hospital and an aftercare plan are. Surgery is performed in a fully equipped hospital with intensive-care backup, by a double board-certified plastic surgeon, with a written plan agreed before you travel.
