Hair Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a treatment in which hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals, peptides, or certain drugs are injected under the skin with needles. 

Hair mesotherapy is a highly effective treatment for male pattern baldness as well as seasonal, drug-related, post-illness, postoperative, or covid-related hair loss and other hair diseases such as alopecia areata.

Before the procedure, the scalp is examined and the reason for hair loss is determined. The treatment starts thereafter if the conditions are right. The injection is composed of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and stimulating peptides that are necessary for hair growth, and drugs such as minoxidil, cortisone, or dutasteride that are required for the treatment.

Is hair mesotherapy a painful procedure? How long does the procedure take?

Since the injection also contains anesthetics, the procedure becomes almost painless. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes. The patient can return to their daily activities thereafter. It is suggested to avoid taking a shower for the first 12 hours after the procedure.

 When does hair mesotherapy show results?

The hair loss stops around the second month and a noticeable increase in hair can be observed after the third month of the treatment. In addition, the thin hair thickens during the treatment. Each patient's hair loss severity and response to the treatment are different. Most of the time, the mesotherapy treatment is supported with methods such as platelet-rich plasma, dermapen, and dermaroller.

What is platelet-rich plasma application?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a completely natural substance obtained by centrifuging the patient's own blood. The growth effect of the blood cells known as platelets stimulates the tissue's healing. It can be injected under the skin with the mesotherapy method or the dermapen device. 

In which cases can hair mesotherapy not be applied? 

Mesotherapy cannot be applied if the patient is pregnant or has certain allergies. If the patient is in active lactation or has serious illnesses, the decision is made based on the patient's state and the content to be used.
